Common Path to Development: CIS experts will determine cooperation vectors at the World Public Assembly
Today, the Commonwealth of Independent States is not only a format of cooperation that has developed in the post-Soviet space, but also an important platform for rethinking interconnections in a changing global world. The session "The Commonwealth of Independent States: Conscious Unity" will be held on the site of the World Public Assembly. It will become a space for lively dialogue between representatives of the Commonwealth countries, experts, historians, political scientists, and public figures.

The purpose of the session is to analyze the transformation of the Commonwealth, identify points of sustainability, identify vectors of joint development, and develop approaches to strengthening humanitarian, cultural, economic, and social and diplomatic ties.
The experts will discuss issues of concern to all CIS member states:
• What makes the CIS a vibrant and relevant platform in the 21st century?
• What areas have already moved from formal cooperation to conscious partnership?
• What place can the CIS occupy in the new balance of global forces?
• How can the Commonwealth countries promote their cultural and humanitarian potential outside the region?
The venue will bring together representatives of the CIS Executive Committee, relevant institutes, scientific centers and non-governmental organizations of the CIS, scientists, experts and public leaders from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan. A number of speakers have already confirmed their participation. Among them are:
- Abdukhalil Gafurzoda, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan in the CSTO PA (Tajikistan);
- Alexey Dzermant, Director of the Center for the Study and Development of Continental Integration "Northern Eurasia" (Belarus).

The main result that the participants of the session "The Commonwealth of Independent States: Conscious Unity" would like to see is the development of concrete proposals to deepen cooperation between the CIS countries, strengthen the humanitarian and economic component and promote a common positive image of the region.
