The CIS is an influential international organization whose format and methodology are being updated, with expanding areas in which the association is increasing the volume of interaction among member countries.

As a structural organization for the entire system of international relations in the post-Soviet space, the CIS retains a key unifying role. It serves as the foundation for maintaining contacts between states and individual agencies, acting as a universal platform for dialogue.
