The world is undergoing a period of great transformation - political, economic, financial and social. International integration associations are coming to the fore. They are the ones who form the new architecture of the world and set new trends in global development. The policy of isolation and sanctions is becoming a thing of the past. It is being replaced by a policy of unity, integration and openness.
“Today, for example, the SCO unites a third of the world economy, a third of the world's wealth and a third of the population,”- Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Piao Yangfan cited the data. "We live in an era of profound historical changes, there is a desire to create an integrated and multipolar world order. The SCO is committed to a multilateral approach and makes tireless efforts to strengthen security in the world."
The speaker noted that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is not a military-political bloc, and the outcome of the summit was evidence of strong growth and productivity in the region.
"The representatives of the countries who have gathered here are not interested in war," - Sergei Glazyev, State Secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus, supported his colleague, "The center of the world economy is changing before our eyes."
Speaking about the tools for ensuring global security, the participants of the platform noted the significant work of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. Today, this international regional organization, with the participation of several post-Soviet States, takes all necessary steps to strengthen peace, international and regional security and stability, and protect the independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty of its member States on a collective basis.
CSTO Deputy Secretary General Samat Ordabayev noted in his speech: "The CSTO is the only organization that has the capabilities to withstand global challenges."
Piao Yangfan, in turn, voiced a forecast that a new platform for integration cooperation may appear in the Eurasian region. This indicates the effectiveness of the work of international integration associations, which are becoming an effective basis for a multipolar world. SCO Secretary General (2016-2018), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Rashid Alimov gave a very vivid image characterizing the further development of interstate associations and the construction of a new architecture of the world order:
"One candle can light thousands of candles without losing its brightness - this is the principle of our international organizations."
The session "International Integration Associations. The New Architecture of the World" was moderated by Stanislav Korolev, Director of the SCO National Center for Public Diplomacy in Russia, Deputy Secretary General of the World Peoples Assembly.
