The meeting was devoted to discussing the role of public diplomacy and aimed at creating protocols of intent that will serve as the basis for international projects.

Svetlana Smirnova, Chairperson of the General Council of the World Peoples Assembly, noted in her speech that public diplomacy does not replace, but complements the traditional model of international cooperation and acts as a new force for peacemaking, and public leaders become goodwill ambassadors.
She presented the World Public Assembly, an event dedicated to the International Day of Peace, which will take place on September 20-21 in Moscow. Its motto and central theme will be "A World of Conscious Unity."
