On behalf of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and on my own behalf, I would like to welcome the participants, organizers and guests of the First World Public Assembly "New World of Conscious Unity".
This event is organized by the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "World Peoples Assembly", timed to coincide with the International Day of Peace and is focused on an open dialogue on a wide range of topical issues related to the prospects for the development of multilateral and interested cooperation in various areas.
Today, in a difficult situation in the world, it is important to use the Assembly’s creative potential to strengthen friendship, good-neighborliness and mutual understanding, and create new formats for international partnership.
I am convinced that the First World Public Assembly will become an authoritative communication platform and will help preserve the unity of peoples based on respect for their traditional spiritual and moral values, as well as expand the dialogue of civilizations.
I wish you fruitful discussions, new ideas and success in their implementation.
