Projects to develop public diplomacy presented in Doha (Qatar)

Women from 49 countries took part in the IV Eurasian Meeting of Russian Compatriots in Doha, the capital of Qatar: Australia and Algeria, Norway and Finland, Jordan and Thailand, India and Japan, etc.

The President of the Eurasian Center for Project Initiatives, Deputy Chairperson of the General Council of the Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia and Africa, Coordinator of the International Competition "Leader of Public Diplomacy" Natalia Zabolotskikh, as part of the Russian delegation, took part in the work of the platforms and spoke about the projects and the opportunities they open up for compatriots and foreigners.

The most detailed presentations were given to the International Competition “Leader of Public Diplomacy”, the World Public Assembly and the author’s research project by Natalia Zabolotskikh “The Female Face of Public Diplomacy”.
"Our main goal is to support public initiatives that meet the strategy of cooperation between peoples in the context of the formation of the contours of the New World. Therefore, in addition to the formats of plenary sessions, an important part of the project preparation for us is the search for and support of public initiatives around the world so that they are presented at the Assembly and find an opportunity for scaling, expanding international participation, so that people with authority and influence learn about them," noted the Deputy Chairperson of the General Council of the Eurasian and African Peoples' Assembly, speaking about the World Public Assembly.

A clear confirmation of the serious work of the International Organizing Committee and the competition jury of the “Leader of People’s Diplomacy” can be the fact that its laureates from France and Finland were also invited to the meeting, and not everyone has the opportunity to take part in such events.

"Today we have created an international community of people's diplomats, which includes more than 100 graduates of our project, and this is no less than 100 international projects that they represent and more than 20 international projects that have already appeared in the process of developing the community. In total, no less than 120 international projects under the umbrella of the competition and the Assembly in three years ," the project coordinator shared some of the results.
Over the past three years, the International Organizing Committee of the competition has supported people's diplomats from 47 countries. Representatives of Mexico, Indonesia, Spain, Germany, Egypt, Tunisia, Russia, Moldova, Romania, Abkhazia, the United Arab Emirates and other countries have participated and won. In 2024 alone, applications for the competition were received from participants from Eurasia, Africa, North and South America; the competition covered 34 countries.

On April 16, 2025, the IV International Competition “Leader of Public Diplomacy” was launched at the TASS site in Moscow.

At the end of her speech, Natalia Zabolotskikh invited women to participate in her research project “The Female Face of Public Diplomacy.” To date, more than 20 women from the regions of Eurasia, Africa and Latin America have taken part in the study.
"Women play a significant role in the development of public diplomacy and the harmonization of international relations, while their number in the sphere of official diplomacy around the world has increased slightly in recent years. There was a motive to study the stories of women who managed to achieve recognition, results and success in both official and public diplomacy ," the author of the project explained the essence of the project.
