The organization has come an impressive way as a regional association, in 8 years it has reached the world level and today acts as a driving force for humanitarian cooperation. The youth forum is especially valuable. The future face of the world depends on the younger generation, whose desire for progress and intellectual potential serve as the main engine of social transformation, and technology will open the way for them to breakthrough solutions to urgent problems.
It is symbolic that your meeting is timed to coincide with the International Day of Peace. Only the unity of nations will make it possible to build a just world order. Against the background of fundamental changes, there is an urgent need for new formats of interaction between countries based on the mutual enrichment of cultures and civilizations, rather than confrontation.
One of these is public diplomacy, which helps to overcome barriers and create bridges of mutual understanding in conditions where established approaches are powerless. This year it celebrates its centenary beginning from the founding of the All-Union Society for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries in 1925 to the modern Rossotrudnichestvo.
The Assembly’s activities are in line with the agency’s mission to strengthen friendship between states through living human ties. Our long-term cooperation with the Assembly at all stages of its evolution allows us to expand the geography and reach of these successful practices. Let your discussions not only allow you to exchange opinions, but also become a source for innovative ideas that will be implemented in particular projects.
