Family is the Beginning of All Beginnings: The World Public Assembly discussed Ancestral Culture as a Response to Global Challenges

The world is changing rapidly. Global transformations erase borders, but with them the roots go down, the institution of the family weakens, the threads of generations break, cultural identity is lost. Increasingly, people are left alone with themselves — without traditions, without memory, without support. These processes lead to social fragmentation, loss of the value orientations on which civilization rests. That is why the topic of ancestral culture has become not just relevant, but crucial for all mankind.

At the World Public Assembly, scientists, psychologists, philosophers and genealogists from all over the world gathered at a round table to discuss the topic that sounds like an alarm bell today: "Ancestral culture: Family — Kin — People — Human Race."

The moderator of the meeting, Doctor of Philosophy and Integrative Psychology, President of the Family XXI Century Foundation Larisa Dokuchaeva, opening the discussion, noted:
"Ancestral culture is not archaic, it is a living force that forms a personality, its moral core and its ability to resist chaos."
Presentations by experts from Russia, Uzbekistan, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Spain and Belarus have become a mosaic of a single message: family is more than private life. It is the foundation of identity, the link between the past and the future, between peoples and civilizations. And the ancestral culture is the basis for the formation of personality, the inner moral core, and the stability of family and social ties.

Viktor Makarov, MD, Professor, Vice-President of the World Council for Psychotherapy, spoke about the family's psychotherapeutic mission. Stoyana Natseva, PhD in Business Administration, PhD in Psychology, and founder of the international Happy Life Academy from Bulgaria, emphasized the power of acceptance as a path to inner peace. Elena Leontieva, PhD, consultant genealogist, Master's degree in Humanities from the University of Barcelona from Spain, recalled that foster children live in "two cultures" and especially need a generic identity. Belarusian genealogist Alexei Biletsky said:
"Genealogy is not just a science, it is reconciliation and restoration of the living memory of generations."
At the end of the round table, a thought was expressed that united all the participants: ancestral culture is a bridge, a bridge between a person and his ancestors, between generations, between peoples. In the resolution of the round table, the participants noted that through the connection of family, kin, people and the entire human race, the foundation of respect, responsibility and continuity is laid. By losing it, humanity risks losing itself. Having saved it, it will gain a chance for a harmonious future.

The continuation of the round table was an interactive program where everyone could touch the theme of the Genus: a live exhibition "Family Tree" was organized, an interactive game "Kin – the Link of Generations" was held, and finally everyone lined up in a "Round Dance of the Kin".
